Specialists: Yes; Specialist applications will be considered but must supply comprehensive additional documentation and a separate application.

Application Review: Applications accepted any time on a rolling review basis.

Notes: Facilities must submit a predetermination site application before applications for individual physicians are submitted if they are unsure the application will qualify. There is a $1500 non-refundable processing fee required with each application. Sites must provide evidence of 3 months national and regional recruitment efforts including print advertising and at least 4 certified letters to medical schools. Facilities must give priority to physicians other than J-1 (for example, physicians with H-1B status) who apply and are qualified. 30% of all patients must be from HPSAs. Physicians with four (4) year contracts are preferred.
